Lutherans for Love Named Best Faith-Based Contingent at San Diego Pride Parade

The recognition celebrates the joyful, creative, and collaborative effort of Lutheran congregations from across San Diego County who came together to share a message of love and welcome at this year’s Pride celebration.

The award reflects the work of everyone who helped make the contingent shine—from planning and creative design to the many hours of hard work that went into preparing for the parade and the joyful presence of participants on parade day.

Lutherans for Love extends a special thank-you to all of its partner congregations for their planning, creativity, hard work, and enthusiasm. The group also offers particular appreciation to the float design and construction crew, whose months of effort helped bring the vision to life.

The award trophy will have a chance to visit each congregation that participated in the effort over the coming year, traveling from church to church as a reminder of what the congregations accomplished together.
