Christmas Card Party

Global Refuge (Formerly known as Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services) has long invited congregations to submit personalized Christmas cards that can be distributed to refugees, asylum seekers and others in the immigration process who are living in U.S. detention centers and elsewhere.  The cards speak a word of hope, love and concern as these people live with trauma in this country, as well as the painful memories that pushed them to leave their home countries.  Share your sentiments in whatever languages you speak and let the promise of Christmas speak to them.  We’ll provide cards with space for you to write and also decorate as some cards go to children.
