Book Club: February 16 at 6:00pm

The subject of our February selection has been described as “famously private”, “independent-minded”, “quiet and determined” and “the most important politician of the twenty-first century”. Angela Merkel was a Lutheran pastor’s daughter and research chemist who became chancellor of Germany, and the unofficial leader of the West. Her biography, The Chancellor: The Remarkable Odyssey of Angela Merkel by Kari Marton details Merkel’s extraordinary rise and political brilliance as “a role model for anyone gaining and keeping power while staying true to one’s moral convictions.”

All are welcome to join us on Thursday, February 16, 6:00PM for lively discussion and fellowship in the church library. Sheri Bengsten will host.
